It seems like Elliott was just starting kindergarten and now she is already in first grade!! Time is just flying by!! She was so excited to start and have a new teacher and meet new friends! She wasn't however excited to be in school all day. It took her several weeks to get used to the really long days. She would come home from school exhausted and really grouchy. It was a hard adjustment for all of us, including Rya who asked when Elliott was coming home all day long!

Of course my little Rya couldn't be left out of all the picture taking fun!! Elliott's teacher this year is Mrs. Espaniola, we both LOVE her!! She is really strict with the kids and keeps them in line but she is so nice and never yells. She also send progress reports home every Monday so I know exactly what she needs help with! Elliott love that everyday they have something fun to do, Monday and Thursday she has PE, Tuesday they have Library, Wednesday they have music and Friday they have art. It helps break up the day and keeps her excited! She was also really excited when we walked in the first day and her really good friend Kristen was in her class, it is always nice to have a familiar face! I also have to mention the other thing Elliott was excited about: eating lunch at school!! The cafeteria (and most of the rest of the school) is under construction so they have been serving cold lunches like sandwiches all year. Elliott does not like them and prefers to bring home lunch everyday. We may let her have school lunch one or two days a week once the regular cafeteria is ready. So far this has been a great year with a lot of learning and a lot of adjustment for all! I hope the rest of the year continues to be great!!
