By the end of softball this year Elliott was doing great!! She pretty much played second base all season and did really good there. It is the perfect place for her since her arm isn't as strong as some of the bigger girls on her team but she is great at fielding the ball and she rarely let one by her! I am glad she found somewhere she feels comfortable playing.
Elliott did struggle with her batting this year. Some of those girls were pitching pretty hard and it was a big difference to go from t-ball to fast pitch. She also figured out early on that she was hard to pitch to because she is so small so she was pretty content to hang out and walk a lot. I hope next season she will be a bit more aggressive at the plate.
By the end of the season it was H. O. T. hot!! There was very little shade and the shade wasn't really much cooler. Rya and Madden were troopers at every game. Some days she had more than one game and we were at the park for hours and the little girls didn't have much to do. We had such a fun season this year and i am so glad we made the decision to bump Elliott up to the older league.
